Farmer's Market

Yep, all of this for $16 at the farmers market. Man I'm good ;)  My husband is so lucky to have me ;)

When I showed Dustin all this, he said "cool."  But ohhhh nooo, I was all prepared with DETAILS to tell him just how COOL this was. haha.  I told him that strawberries are about $1.50 each at a regular grocery store.  But at the Farmer's Market, they were 3 for $1.  And grapes, on SALE at a regular grocery store you'll get them for 78 cents a pound.  But at the Farmer's Market, it was 3 bags for $1  (we're talking 33 cents a bag!).  Comin right up..... fruit salad.......yummy yummy ;)

The items that cost me the most were the peanut brittle and bread cuz after all...they're not fresh produce. ha.

This week I plan to cook with eggplant and asparagus and sweet potatoes.... three things that Dustin like...never eats.  I'll sneak them in my recipes somehow....my pretty ;) (wicked witch of the west?........ ok anyway.......  That makes me feel slightly kiniving.....however you spell that ;).... but Dustin will thank me later when our kid AND HIM are so flippin healthy they don't even have fat to LOSE in a weight loss challenge. Hope this plan doesn't backfire  ;)

  1. You are going to have to teach me your ways! I'm awful at incorporating veggies and fruits into our diets!

    1. haha, I don't know how successful my little plan is going to be. As soon as I told Dustin my plan to be more healthy (I know, what was I thinking?!) he said he didn't like asparagus or sweet potatoes or plums, even though he can't even remember what they taste like! SO we are going to be adventurous with this! Hopefully my son won't be so picky!!! ;) haha. Train Porter well ;)
